Parts of Metro still inundated!!!

On 13th Nov, I visited Kolathur, Puzhal & Redhills. It was a great sight to see Redhills Lake and Rettai Eri brimmimg with water. At the same time, it was very sorry to see, still many houses at Vinayagapuram, adjacent to Kolathur, are submerged in water. The reason is that these houses were built and are still being built in the land that originally belong to the lake.
Who to blame for this; the greedy people who buy lands in the encroached lake area or the real estate promoters or the government who fail to check these encroachments?

It was very impressed by the efforts taken by you and the plight the poor Chennaites suffer in the hands of the greedy real estate promoters and the much dismayed handling of the Government who rule the state and pin the poor

Dear Thangavel, your efforts in highlighting the plight of flood-affected Kolathur residents is genuine. Your human touch to the Photos deserves praise from all Chennaiites. Thank you.
